Your fees keep AVPRC’s voluntary regulatory framework operating and support our work towards statutory title protection and professional recognition.

Fees for 2027

All amounts are in New Zealand dollars.

  • ApplicationFeeAnnual Practising Certificate (APC) $45

  • One-time registration $25

  • Specialist registration assessment $45

  • Joining the student list Free

  • First-time registration and APC: $70 in total.

If you are already on the AVPRC student list and are applying for registration for the first time, the $25 registration fee is waived. You pay only the $45 APC fee.

Assessment fees cover the assessment process and do not guarantee a successful outcome. Contact AVPRC before paying an assessment fee so we can confirm the appropriate process.

When to apply

The annual APC application period runs from 1 January to 31 March.

What your fees support

AVPRC is an independent registered charity run by volunteers. Registration and APC fees only just cover the costs of maintaining our work.

These costs include:

  • Maintaining the register and processing applications.

  • Digital systems for records, forms, information security and payments.

  • Bookkeeping, accounting and financial reporting.

  • Legal advice to support our obligations, including privacy.

Our volunteers contribute their time and expertise. Your fees provide the services and infrastructure that make their work possible.

By registering and renewing your APC, you help keep our professions visible, sustain professional standards and accountability, and support AVPRC’s contribution to decisions about statutory regulation.
