Fees are a vital part of the movement toward title protection. By joining the register, you are making an investment in the profession.

 

Fees for 2025

 

  • Annual Practising Certificate: $35 (increasing to $45 in 2026)

  • One-time registration fee: $10 (increasing to $25 in 2026)

  • Assessment of overseas qualifications: $85

Renewals are open 1 January–31 March each year. Other applications are open year-round.

Why we charge fees

 

The AVPRC is a registered charity. Your fees keep the register running, support lobbying for title protection, and help protect animal welfare and public health in Aotearoa New Zealand. Every dollar goes directly into maintaining the movement toward regulation, supporting professionalism and awareness for the veterinary sector.
