Wear your professional identity with pride. AVPRC badges help make your qualifications, professional title and commitment to professional standards visible to clients and colleagues.

Who can wear a badge?

Registration badges are available to practitioners on the relevant AVPRC register or list who hold a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC).

Choose the badge that matches your recorded qualification and registration or listing category. A badge may only be worn by the person it was issued to, while they hold a current APC.

Metal badges

Our traditional metal badges have a gold-toned background and trim, an enamel top and a pin-back fastening. Each badge is 3 cm in diameter, with your registration number engraved on the back.

Price: $55 each, including engraving and postage to a New Zealand address.

  • Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)

  • Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT)

  • Registered Rural Animal Veterinary Technician (RRAVT)

  • Listed Veterinary Nursing Assistant (LVNA)

  • Listed Rural Animal Technician (LRAT)

Embroidered badges

Our embroidered patches are designed for attachment to a uniform. Each patch is 7 cm in diameter and has an iron-on backing.

We recommend sewing around the edge to secure the patch, as repeated washing and drying can loosen the iron-on attachment.

Price: $29 each, including postage to a New Zealand address.

  • Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)

  • Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT)

  • Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)

The veterinary technician and veterinary technologist patches use the same colour, with the relevant professional title displayed on each.

Specialist badges

Specialist badges are available to practitioners whose specialist registration has been verified by AVPRC and who hold a current APC.

The specialist title options are:

  • Registered Veterinary Nurse Specialist (RVNS)

  • Registered Veterinary Technician Specialist (RVTS)
