Professional Standards Committee (PSC)
The AVPRC has a professional standards committee (PSC) whose primary aim is to set and enforce professional standards including:
overseeing development, review, and enforcement of New Zealand allied veterinary/healthcare practicing standards, scopes of practice, and guidelines to professional conduct;
evaluating professional demographics;
liaising with overseas regulatory bodies to establish international consistency with regulatory requirements.
liaising with stakeholders such as the Veterinary Council of New Zealand, New Zealand Veterinary Nursing Association, New Zealand Veterinary Association, and Companion Animals New Zealand to ensure allied veterinary and animal healthcare professionals and paraprofessionals are meeting professional and industry needs;
